When you think about it, education is super important. I know that older people are always saying that, and when I was little, it always bugged me. I always thought that that’s just what they said to get us kids to do our school work. Now that I’m older, I actually understand what they were talking about.
Think of it this way. Kids grow into adults. Adults become lawyers, doctors, judges, police officers, bankers, store owners, teachers, builders, technicians, electricians, scientists, astronauts, archaeologists, biologists, teachers, fitness coaches, actors, writers, artists, and so much more.
But something to realize, is that with no education, no schooling, most of this would be impossible. Lawyers have to go to law school. Doctors have to get medical degrees. Teachers have to learn so much so they can teach other people, and the list goes on.
Now that you know what adults do, and that they need education to become any of those things, realize that we are the next generation of these adults. Education is the only way that we can take the next step in life if you want to do anything.
When you're young, it's great! Use that time, and even your time now if you're older, to explore lots of different things if you don’t know what it is you want to do in life. Learn about chemistry, biology, astronomy, government, medicine, anything! Exploring is great because God has given us so MUCH to explore, so we should take the gift that we have available and make good of it.
So what about when school is so boring, and you do NOT want to do it that day? Well, one thing to remember is that there are young girls all over the world who would love to learn to read and write, but can’t. I don’t mean to guilt trip you, but imagine them having the school that you have right now, and being so excited to learn!
Okay, so that probably won’t make your school super exciting, but just learn it! Dig in and realize that you are filling your head with amazing things! You’re learning things that will help you go places in the future! That is so amazing!
I’m in my last year of high school, and let me tell you, it’s CRAAAZZZYYY for me. I have a lot to do, and with my chores and being with my family, it all really piles up, but I’ve started to actually love my school work! I’ve been realizing that without any of the twelve years that my mom taught me, I would have literally no opportunities in life when I’m older.
So, education is important. Not just because that’s what the older people tell us, but because it’s your future in your hands. Literally. Don’t waste this amazing time of learning everything and anything! It can be so much fun, and you might discover what it is you truly want to do in life, if you haven’t already!
